Hollie Anne Churchill Towle

Hollie Anne Churchill Towle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the age of 74, due to complications from an illness.

A third-generation Santa Barbaran, Hollie was deeply rooted in her community and carried a proud Mayflower lineage. She lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and grace.

In her youth, Hollie was a talented equestrian, a passion that reflected her lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, and was an accomplished gardener. She used her collection of over 100 recipe books cooking for events and friends; and cared tenderly for her grandmother’s 60-year old Cymbidium orchids.

Hollie built a meaningful career centered on caring for others. She worked as a registered dental assistant, serving her patients with skill and compassion. She later became a licensed massage therapist, offering comfort and healing touch. In later years, she served as a devoted personal assistant to the Hollister family, and others, where she was deeply valued for her dedication, warmth, and reliability. In her last job she worked as the Residence Concierge for the Squire Foundation and Via Maria Villa.

She also nurtured strong connections through her fitness group, a community of friends who continued meeting virtually during the pandemic and beyond.

Hollie was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit. She had a natural ability to care for others and made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Allen Towle; her daughter, Cassandra, her two cherished grandchildren and by her brother Stuart Churchill and her two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Warren Churchill, and her mother, Connie Thornburgh Churchill.
